Why does Canada have a reputation of being boring?

At least I hear this from the people I encounter in my community who have relatives who live there. It is such a big country, I fail to see what could be available in other countries, that's not there?

Is it the cold weather and so people find themselves doing so many indoor activitiesand they don't like it? or maybe they are just stupid and don't know how to enjoy themselves?

Canada is a huge country geographically but has a fairly small population in comparison. Lots of empty space is commonly perceived as boring, even if it isn't really empty or boring, and that perception gets applied to the people who live there.

Culturally, too, Canada is a distinct contrast to its closest neighbor, the U.S., which has been sowing and reaping chaos for centuries now. Canada has retained some of the reserved manner of its British colonial culture which the U.S. famously kicked out.

And then there is the perception that the population is trapped inside for three-quarters of the year as glaciers creep down the streets and feral wolves stalk the suburbs.

Or something like that, maybe? I don't know.
