Fibre to the premises (FTTP) replacing FTTN and FTTC for NBN here in Australia

But I can't get it through my current retail service provider or even 'register' interest, and NBN co the network operator that replaced Telstra fixed-line services in my area in mid-2020 claims I can't look at ordering an upgrade (if I want to) until mid-2028.

So much for Australia getting 'world class Internet'.

@CreyvinMoorhead My current VDSL NBN is 25 mbps download via FTTN with 'last mile' over the remains of my old Telstra copper lead-in.

I get 26.04 mbps down, 4.01 mbps up, ping latency 17 ms.

Way more than I need as I don't do and sort of streaming of movies, etc., don't have Netflix, etc. and don't run any servers of my own.

I had ADSL (standard ADSL not ADSL2 or 2+) at 512/128 kbps running over an 11.5 km phone line for 4 years when I lived in a regional hunter valley area and that was still more than I really needed.
