In the UK there is not even the requirement to relabel it "frozen dessert".
A good reason to avoid the big brands and buy farmhouse icecream where the ingredients are clearly labelled.

@SunshineGirl There's a similar deal with so-called 'meat pies' of which many don't really qualify to be called 'meat' pies.
