2) When backpacking in Europe 15 or so years ago, a couple of American girls asked about "shooers". Apparently, they had previously met an Aussie guy who claimed to be a shooer.
What's a shooer, you may ask? Well, a shooer is someone who goes onto the Sydney Harbour Bridge each morning, bangs two pots together loudly to shoo off all the kangaroos on the bridge.
