The fine for not voting in australia

Is over $100. Thats for state and federal parliament. Which other countries have mandatory voting.

Here in the US some states are doing their damnedest to STOP people from voting. Well, stop the "wrong" people, anyway.
@ChipmunkErnie Exactly. [b]That’s[/b] how you know voting is important—some people are trying to control and prevent it. If voting were compulsory they’d have a tough time with that, although they’d probably present that law as an “attack on your freedom" and some folks would buy it.
