The fine for not voting in australia

Is over $100. Thats for state and federal parliament. Which other countries have mandatory voting.

Not 100% correct. You have to get your name crossed off, but you do not have to actually mark the ballot paper(s).

@LandOfOz Probably not. Would cost more in administration to collect the fines considering a half decent excuse will get you off with a warning.
