Another One Bites the Dust

Czech Tennis player, Renata Voracova has had her Australian Visa cancelled and been put into hotel quarantine in the same hotel holding Novak Djokovic after being granted and entry visa supported by Tennis Australia. It seems that like the Joker, she failed to meet the standards of the commonwealth Visa requirements.
Its unfortunate for the girl, who has been playing in a lead up tournament. And it rather strengthens my earlier point that if Djokovic had not stirred up public opinion with his graceless tweets before arriving, its possible this could all have stayed buried. 😷

The problem is I support Djokovic for being deported, he knows the rules on entry in to Australia and especially being the defending champion. The rules have been bent many times for major sporting events when the average person was not allowed to travel interstate.

The French president has already told Djokovic to piss off for the French Open, and now England and the US must stand together to have border security all open borders and watch them drop like flies

@nedkelly At a personal level I totally agree with you. Djokovic knew the rules and decided to give the authorites the finger. Aussies can respect that. But demanding privilege where they have had to sacrifice and continue to do so. "Fair Suck of the Sav!" As for his family trying to say hes a prisoner.. Australia cant wait to kick the B@$t@rd out. He can leave as soon as he likes.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman 💯%

If he is allowed to play in the Australian Open....ScoMo can kiss the next election goodbye. He might have already done that anyway.

@KiwiBird I think Scummo only jumped on this once he saw which was the wind was blowing. Right now he will clutch at anything for a handfull of votes. Particularly Victorian ones. Hes as popular as Herpes here.😷

And in the next exciting episode, it seems the smoking gun has been found. A letter from Tennis Australia. (Tournament organisers) to all players, saying that if they had Covid in the previous six months, this qualified them as fully immune. This information is incorrect. That has NEVER been the federal governments position . The Federal; government has always held that unless you have a genuine medical reason for not being vaccinated, no jab, no entry. Now I have always regarded the head of tennis Australia with some suspicion. But I cant prove a thing other than his willingness to throw the weight of his organisation around to get what he wants previously. But this does sort of sink Djokovics case in court. He's too late to get vaccinated now anyway.😷

The Deputy Prime Minister speaks up
Barnaby Joyce had little sympathy for Djokovic’s situation, telling the BBC: “If he hasn’t filled out the forms appropriately then he’s taking the sovereign capacity of another nation for a joke.

“He’s got to understand you’ve been graced by God with a certain talent but that certain talent does not rise above the sovereign rights of other nations.

“If you wander off into our country and don’t tell us the truth, we’re going to kick your arse out of here as well.”
@KiwiBird And it seems like Craig Tiley from Tennis Australia is showing some of his cards. Declaring that the Oz Tennis open will not be viable without unvaxxed players.. Now it circumstantial. But seems to me a good motive to try to slide one past the government.
Meanwhile. Back at the ranch. The Joker is up to his old tricks, demanding a personal chef to prepare his meals. "Request denied."

Hopefully, they round the rest of them up, too... and get them all sent back home.

Everyone needs to see that behaving like this has consequences that you may not like.

@thewindupbirdchronicles If you have something to say, say it. I am being perfectly clear. But I am not going to banter back and forth with you so you can hear your keyboard click.😷

@thewindupbirdchronicles I agree. The thing is the Feds dictate who comes into the country. Tennis Australia as the tounament organisers assisted all players with the process of applying and it seems for whatever reason they didnt apply the right standard. And Borderforce took their word for it without checking the fine print. I have no way of knowing if that was accidental or deliberate. But it WAS convenient until the Joker opened his twittering mouth.😷

@MarmeeMarch Sadly we wont. New south Wales (with support from the Feds) decided to open up and is the linking hub for the nation. Of course it got in there and spread up and down the country. Luckily we had close to 90% vaxxed by then. But Omicron was starting and while we are in summer, its in the community now and will need to be vaxxed out. Now the original culprit, New South Wales is starting to tighten up restrictions again..😷
