Argentina is fuckin magical. They played better in the end.

Nah. It was won fairly but Egypt was more deserving if we're looking at how most of the match was dominated by them.
Waveney · M
@HijabaDabbaDoo Yep. But that's football. Plus, when Argentina pulled a goal back you could see Egypt's belief just left them. It was inevitable that Argentina would equalise and then win.

FIFA are corrupt the US is corrupt. This World Cup is a joke.
Waveney · M
@jackjones68 FIFA is corrupt, Trump is corrupt, but the game wasn't stolen. People are just disappointed (including me) and it's also sour grapes.
AdmiralPrune · 46-50, M
I do. 100%. FIFA has its own idea of how they want this World Cup to pan out.

@Waveney Obvious VAR decisions were ignored.
Waveney · M
@AdmiralPrune Nope. If you’re talking about the foul in the build up to egypts disallowed goal, he trod on his foot as well as pulled him back before getting the ball. It was a foul. Also, at the end, Mac allister had touched the ball before pulling on Salah’s shirt. It was normal contact so VAR wouldn’t need to get involved, esp as there needs to be a higher level of evidence in the penalty area for VAR to get involved and overrule the ref.
It’s disappointing, I’m pissed off too, but it’s sour grapes to suggest there was cheating. The only cheating that’s happened is FIFA overturning Balogun’s red card after lobbying from Trump.
