What do the Taliban and the state of Arizona have in common?

Both are ultra conservative in their idealism and views on the Bible/koran .. often to the extreme.
Both consider women as objects or male possessions which means that women don’t have any rights. Especially where women’s health, and the right to have an abortion are concerned.
While there may be some superficial similarities between the Taliban and certain elements within the state of Arizona regarding conservative views and attitudes towards women's rights, it's important to recognize that they operate within vastly different contexts and political systems. Here are a few points to consider:

Political Context: The Taliban is an extremist Islamist militant group that has historically imposed its interpretation of Sharia law in areas under its control. On the other hand, Arizona is a state within the United States, governed by U.S. laws and the principles outlined in the U.S. Constitution.

Legal Framework: While there have been instances of conservative policies and legislation regarding women's rights in certain states, including Arizona, these are typically subject to the framework of U.S. law, including constitutional protections and judicial review. The Taliban, on the other hand, operates outside of legal norms and often enforces its policies through violence and coercion.

Extent of Control: The Taliban's control over areas under its rule is often total and authoritarian, with little to no room for dissent or opposition. In contrast, while there may be conservative political forces in Arizona, they operate within the framework of democratic institutions, including elections, legislative processes, and judicial oversight.

Diversity of Views: It's important to note that views within any political entity, including Arizona, are diverse and multifaceted. While some individuals or groups may hold conservative views on women's rights, there are also many others who advocate for gender equality, reproductive rights, and women's health.

In summary, while there may be certain ideological similarities between the Taliban and some conservative elements within Arizona regarding women's rights, it's essential to recognize the vast differences in their respective contexts, legal frameworks, and methods of governance. Comparing the two should be done with caution, considering the significant disparities in their political, social, and legal landscapes.

And both involve a lot of desert living?

Abortion is not "women's health."

Pro abortionists are pro children. Pro people. Pro LIFE.
badlands · 22-25, F
@PleasurePunch How is that?
MrsMONAKanful · 36-40, F
I wouldn’t want an abortion I can always give my child to a loving family instead

@badlands There’s no difference between your view and the view of the Taliban on this issue.

It’s very hard to make any sort of pro when your views are that backwards.
badlands · 22-25, F
@justanothername Do you not support the Constitution?
justanothername · 51-55, M
@badlands I support a woman’s right to choose.

Abortion is not mentioned in the Constitution.

A most enlightened approach and one I am sure the female voters of Arizona will properly reward at the next election..😷
@whowasthatmaskedman I hope so. There are an amazing number of backwards-thinking women. Men wouldn’t be able to do as much without a percentage of women helping or at least going along. 😞

@bijouxbroussard Sadly I am aware. Hence the background message to find another place to live so you dont end up in Gilead. But its going to be no picnic with anyone with the economy coming down around Americans ears..😷

Dude! Arizona is not conservative. They voted liberal for Biden.

Texas is giving Arizona inspiration.

We have the Catholic and King James Bibles. They have the Hobby Lobby edition.
And yet the US thinks it's way better.
@AthrillatheHunt two wrongs don't make a right, that's ahead one block and three lefts. These conservatives turn up in power all over so there's war all over and inequality that bites.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@Roundandroundwego I have the polar opposite world view . And I thank my creator daily for being born when and where I was .
@AthrillatheHunt so do I. I love his creation and spend every second from when I wake up until I sleep praising Jesus. Christians can be for all God's creatures and for human beings.
They can’t spell 😁

What are you rambling about?

Desert/Heat is the only commonality.
badlands · 22-25, F
@Iwillwait This user doesn't know what he's talking about. He is a fanatic.
