Where was the outcry that the U.S. was committing genocide in Afghanistan?

Where were the protests?

I remember there being protests but it was more against the U.S. occupation of Afghanistan than the fear of the U.S. committing a genocide. After years of the U.S. being in Afghanistan until the withdrawal from that country in 2021, I don’t remember there ever being any more big protests for the U.S. to get out of Afghanistan, a few mentions about the war here and there, but that’s it. No wonder it was nicknamed the forgotten war.
