Where was the outcry that the U.S. was committing genocide in Afghanistan?

Where were the protests?

There were several.
@bijouxbroussard Yes, there were many protests regarding the U.S. in Afghanistan. But I don't remember the strident accusations that the U.S. was committing genocide as we hear now in the case of Israel. Arguably, the U.S. was, as a matter of law, committing genocide in Afghanistan. I see a possible double standard at play.

@flipper1966 We already committed genocide against the people who were here when our European settlers arrived.
And that is what the U.S. has been accused of. There’s no double standard.
@bijouxbroussard Well, that's true too. But where were the protests against our genocide of Afghans?
@flipper1966 There were protests against us being in Afghanistan. But we weren’t going there as settlers displacing the people already there.
Apples & oranges.

Legally speaking, I think you're referring to ethnic cleansing, not genocide.
