What is something generally normal in Europe but weird in the US?

Did you know it's not illegal for a woman to be topless on most New York sidewalks?

@Nitedoc about pubkic nudity in the US, yes and no.

@samueltyler2 Someplaces in the US it's legal and accepted like some beaches, nudist camps and clubs. The only city I know of in the US where women can be topless in public is NYC.

@Nitedoc i think the term is probably not illegal, rather than legal, there is a slight difference. We have a clothing optional beach in NJ, it is on federal property and was never made illegal, so it is considered okay. It is staffed with both clothed police and life guards. There is a park in downtown Toronto that is also topless tolerant, i don't know if they allow total nudity.

@samueltyler2 Either way some places here in the US has topless or nude people in area's where the law allows it.

@Nitedoc Where have you experienced that in the US?

@samueltyler2 There's two beaches near Tampa and two beaches South of Daytona I like. There's one in Pensecola but you have to walk about a quarter mile, through the sand, to get to the clothing optional part. That one is not legally nude but the law overlooks it.

@samueltyler2 Yes, beaches on both coasts.
