If I have cancer and go to the UK for a week will they give me free and complete treatment?

How about Germany? or Australia? or Denmark? Sweden? Norway? Germany again? France?

Pretending they don't understand that a person should have to pay for what they take out of a system when it comes to Americans but I have never, and I truly mean never, seen a single one of them talk about expanding their systems to cover tourists. Why are they all such fake bitches in Europe, Canada, and Australia when it comes to their supposed compassion for the sick? They run around acting like they are so high minded but they don't actually practice it. This is why I don't appreciate any of your meddling in our domestic affairs. You're all such pretenders.

We Americans were in England when my wife needed to see a doctor. When we went to his surgery, the receptionist asked if we were eligible for free treatment. We said, "No, we are paying cash." Despite a waiting room full of patients, she said, "Great! You're next."

@exexec Don't sidetrack my post. You want to make some separate point then do it elsewhere

@Jackaloftheazuresand Dang! Don't be so sensitive.

@Lilymoon ey, I got no problem with you so long as you never try to lecture us about it or talk down about how we do it

@Jackaloftheazuresand honestly in comparison you guys have much better waiting times than us. It's getting crazy
I can speak for Canada and yes. The health care system in general here is a complete joke.

@Teggy This is really about people rather than pros or cons of any one system unless we're talking about the system's disingenuous platforming then yes, I'd call that a joke

I don’t understand your reasoning. Why should a country you don’t support long term, provide free healthcare?
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
@tobynshorty Why do other countries care so much if Americans do or not is what you're supposed to be getting from this. They often cite things like healthy populations being good for everyone and how it's a human right. My post refutes those notions as empty talking points quickly discarded when they become inconvenient because if they actually believed in those things then they would extend it worldwide

Well at least in America they don't pretend to care.

@Jackaloftheazuresand Yup. It just allows us non-Americans to thank God that we live in civilised countries.
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
@wildland There's that foreign undeserved superiority complex. If you were civilized you'd cover tourists too
