If you ever meet someone from Lebanon& you don’t know their name then go with Charbel, Tony, or Ali

There’s 50% you got their name right 😂
Tony? You mean like short for Anthony? Although with Lebanon being one-third Christian, that's not surprising.

I've heard that the expatriate Lebanese community tends to be among the wealthiest in the countries they emigrated to. I met a few when I was in Mali. They mostly ran high-end boutique grocery stores.
@Moon3624 I didn't know Nora was Arabic. I always thought the name was Irish.

In my generation, popular boy's names are Michael, Steven, David, James, Matthew, Jeffrey, and John, and for girls, Jennifer, Jessica, Karen, Ann, Cynthia, and Janet come to mind. Kids today, it's like all the girls are named some variation of Kayla, Kyla, Kaitlin, I have no idea why that's so popular.

I've always heard that Lebanon was wonderful up to the civil war. Beirut was called the Paris of the Levant.

Nora or Norah or Nura in Arabic means light very popular name in the Arab world however two things could be right at the same time it could also be a name in Irish with another meaning.
@Moon3624 Right, it's just a coincidence. Like the name Naomi is Biblical, but is also found in Japan for unrelated reasons.
