I think the problem is that our students are dumber and less capable of processing information independently, than previous generations of our own students.

@tamilguy The "woke" notion is tangential to being able to read/write and do math.

We have entrusted the education of our kids to those who are often not from math or science backgrounds, in elementary school, and we are reaping the result of that poor planning.

Nope. USA studies better subjects than them. They are there to learn computers and medicines to work for us.

Where I live we had a candidate governor running on the platform of dismantling the state education system. So that should tell you how much they care about education.
