People who have tasted the cuisine of multiple European countries:

...is English food bland compared to other European countries?

I'm honestly curious, I have never been outside the U.S. 😔

When I was in London in 1995 I ate mostly at inexpensive Indian and Pakastani restaurants. The food was good. I liked the pub food. You can get a tasty curry at most any pub. Fish and chips is good as long as it's hot and fresh.

It depends where you eat. There is some fabulous English food. This statement about English food is a throw back to decades ago, when it may have been true, but I don't believe it is anymore.

Honestly, yeah, the cuisine of the isles is not my favorite. Italian, French, Greek, and Spanish have more to offer.

Like everywhere else we have some great traditional food dishes for you to enjoy and some that are designed to just keep you alive.
