Zeusdelight FYI, we have the Green Party, various Communist parties, etc.; here in my state (Michigan), there are still anti-tax parties hanging on with a candidate here or there.
We also vote for the boards of the three major public universities (Univ. of Michigan's Board of Regents, Mich. State University's Board of Trustees, Wayne State University's Board of Governors) and a State Board of Education. Putting a third party candidate in these offices, or more local--county, township/city--if they agree with one's issues, can make sense. [Except for Libertarians on the education-related boards. Libertarians running for those positions are now against public education, so they are anti-democratic in a disturbing way.]
