You know, I never thought that i would agree with conservatives

But they are 100% correct on the indoctrination of college students.

Since the 80's, when they started bitching about colleges promoting "liberal" ideas, the universities have responded by basically only providing conservative wrong think books that do nothing but bitch about liberal thinking. It basically amounts to conservatives being upset that they can't be openly racist and bigoted without college students calling them out.

We need to stop this indoctrination of college students to conservative ideologies. They are the cause of many problems.

Lists of conservative literature on college campuses:

I can't actually find a similar list for "liberal" literature on campus other than suggested reading, but I'm sure Noam Chomsky is in there if there was one.

If you can't find what you are looking for, it doesn't exist.

So conservatives are actually complaining about the indoctrination of conservative literature and frankly, i agree. We should stop indoctrinating conservative ideas, particularly when the majority of them have been completely debunked and preposterously wrong, no matter how educated they sound.

Stop indoctrinating our college students with shitty conservative ideas! They are bad and harmful misinformation!

I do think you have a point though that some faculties like economics have been largely slanted through massive donations to present right wing ancap ideas about economics as hard facts and ignore any and all alternatives.

Richard Wolff has joked that as a Marxian economist he is a heretic of the Ivy League.

Heh! No doubt!
It is not so much that colleges or universities are indoctrinating people per se. But it is impossible to be intellectually honest and be a young earth creationist when you actually get a proper education.

Just by becoming educated it makes maintaining the cognitive dissonance required to maintain many "conservative" ideas more and more difficult.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Oh yeah, this is true. The more exposure you get to world ideology, the worse conservatism sounds because it has no opening or understanding for people and situations both in and not in their boxes because they are only perceiving things from a very lazer focused perspective that their literature just repeats over and over again in a number of examples.

Especially when they are so easily debunked and dissipated simply by speaking to or listening to the people whom they are claiming are causing the decline and issues that are ruining America. One literally can't hold space for both ideas when one is blatantly false and poorly constructed.

But that doesn't seem to stop them from trying to cram their wrong think into college students as much as possible.
College students are at college in order to learn to think for themselves.

@wildland How can they do that if they are being force fed conservative literature? How is that well rounded to take in all sides to make their own decisions based off facts and ideas?
