If you support trump

Who the fuck hurt you so bad you lost desire to care and actually take sadistic pleasure in the pain of others?

I saw it the other day and lost the link.

You can question the utility of psychological studies like this, but focusing on personality traits rather than political ideology in the context of Trumpism makes a lot more sense to me.
@FoxyQueen I hear you, and I'm not advocating for diagnosis or treatment of disorders as much as identifying traits and trying to piece together explanations as to why and how as opposed to how to ultimately fix things.

Stepping back a bit, I'm not sure the societal issues can be solved. We're not suddenly going to find a common moral compass or set of facts to unite us, or maybe even let us coexist without major disruption or a common threat or enemy at least, which would only push off the inevitable problem off or maybe render it moot.

@MistyCee That's pretty much where I have gotten to. Our nation is going to get worse. Things are going to become worse. We can try and fight it, but truthfully, I don't see any potential for a meaningful turn around. We have been speeding towards this for decades. Until people realize how bad it is going to get before it gets there, we are on a pretty steady trajectory.

This is why I'm always advocating for community building. And not the fascist "National Night Out" kind of building. But building a group of people who all have valuable skills and talents to assure that those around you have what they need through exchange of items and/or labor. To create spaces where communities aren't reliant on corporations.

But this all is taking the conversation to a tangent lol
@FoxyQueen Indeed. I look forward to talking with you again on other posts.
I don’t understand how it is that so many women support him, still. There are any number of anecdotes from the number of women to whom he’s been really nasty, especially if they weren’t what he considers young or pretty. 😳

@bijouxbroussard They are the type of women who have no problem tearing down other women without looking at their own house first.
Lost? This assumes they ever had such capacity to begin with, which I think is doubtful

And they also must've really, really, really taken issue with the previous decades of White House interior and landscape design, and the declining crime rate of DC

@NativePortlander1970 I'm sorry you are experiencing that. I wish that he had been honest in his rhetoric.

He has hurt so many people. Many don't even realize it yet. They still don't want to believe that he not only openly lied, but so did the majority of the Republican party.

I knew what was up when I read that the dictator of Turkey was at CPAC back in 2019, telling the GOP how to make America a dictatorship and seeing people like Cruz praise his intelligence. I knew at that point, our nation was going to be doomed if the Republicans got another term.

But it was impossible to get anyone else to see the dangers ahead, even on the left. Most of them felt "safe" when Biden was in office and didn't do anything to get Biden to secure things that were about to be destroyed.

It hurts my heart how many Americans on both sides let this happen because they were partisan.
@FoxyQueen The problem is that shrump is the end product of a decades long corrupt duoploly, he took advantage of us all with a long con, his big beautiful bill and tariffs shows he's still a leftist corporatist dem after all.
