Current law favors survival of the mother if both cannot be saved. These decisions are painful, but in comparison to 60,000,000 aborted babies it seems a small number. Any person can only justify their their support of abortion by means negating the personhood of the fetus. However, the reality of the baby’s beating heart stands in stark contradiction to any that he or she is not alive and developing as a person.
