Should radical Republicans in the US acknowledge they're not Conservatives anymore?

As someone with what I think are actually pretty conservative views about some " dying Western Civilization values" like honesty in dealing with others and respect for other human beings in light of the common benefits we can all get from cooperating and compromising, I think this kind of intellectual honesty might be productive.

This Federalist piece made a lot of sense to me, even though I'm not a radical reconstructionist or a counterrevolutionary, etc.

And I feel like, with this kind of honest reflection about stuff like small vs big government, and weighing the ends and the means (or at least acknowledging the risk that some means might pose), there's room to find common interests and compromises.

@markansas There's a lot of truth there, but the title, I think, "what they believe" is kind of flawed in terms of candidates.

My guess is most believe in getting elected and see professing support for Trump and Trumpism as the way to do it.
@MistyCee ok here is a nother one. i like this group..

@markansas Jeez, this almost seems harsh, making fun of stupid clueless people for being clueless and stupid.

But then again, the stupid and clueless thing is all too often a mask for folks to manipulate the stupid and clueless.

Trying to figure out the layers involved in the LP videos really makes exhausts me sometimes.

Who TF are they aiming this stuff at?

Or are they maybe just really the modern version of the National Lampoon?
@MistyCee The Lincoln Project is an American political action committee formed in late 2019 by former and current Republicans. During the 2020 presidential election, it aimed to prevent the re-election of Donald Trump and defeat all Republicans in close races running for re-election in the United States.
with that said they are the true republicans the ones that work on behalf or us all..both sides
@MistyCee here is they very first ones they made..

@markansas Yeah I get that, or at least got it in 2020, and I appreciate that they think they're the "true Republicans," but politics aside, I'm baffled and intrigued by who they're videos are intended for.

At least half of their early stuff seemed to be aimed at tweaking Trump personally, despite the fact that it was obviously also aimed at a broader audience as well.

My guess is, after the midterms, or at least by 2024, this enterprise will be dead.
@MistyCee if trump fails and the ones around him do also.. then they did there job and did it well. it was made for all to watch both sides to watch. and when trump and his are done then i think they will be gone..
