Well, it is a very strange time, indeed, when Mitt Romney is a MODERATE Republican!
The GOP has moved so far to the Right that it has abandoned any pretense at being able to even FIND the middle ground, let alone meet there to make deals.
it's inability to distance itself from Trump shows the true nature of the current Republicans in Congress. They know that demographics will ultimately be the death knell for the current Party, so they are trying to do everything possible to assure the only Presidents they can elect: more "minority governments"...
