How do you attract a younger generation to classical music recitals?

My local town has a rich culture,’with a heathy jazz scene, and classical recitals. Many talented young artists live there and bring in their friends to perform.

Yet the performances and gigs I go to a full of people over fifty. I don’t understand. It is not as though they are expensive.

The local school have a lot to answer for. They see performing arts as modern dance.
