I love England. My late Father was a Yorkshire man and his side of our family lived there for decades. With it's quiet moors and sometimes bleak landscapes I have and will always find it beautiful. "Starve Acre" is set there and another of my favourite folk horror tales.
Yorkshire is a beautiful county - so are many others, in different ways of course.
One of the blessings of the British Isles is just how varied is their physical geography. (Thanks to having perhaps the most varied geology of anywhere in the world of similar area.)
I am most familiar with the Three Peaks area, and the Eden Valley that descends from Yorkshire via Westmoreland to Carlisle.
