I just read about it.

What is he intending to arrest them for? I'm lost by this news.

@KunsanVeteran Arresting you political opponents, firing you government statistics person for delivering unfavourable labour stats, yep golden age for sure.

I hope their tactic prevents redistricting, but I'm afraid the Gov. and his crooked AG will figure out a way to bypass the laws, even if they exist.
KunsanVeteran · M
@exexec Well, it would have to go up through the Courts and that would take time.

Let's not be so sure. If he called on Trump to back him up, there's a zero percent chance that Trump would refuse. At best, he'd be talked out of it by the Deep State, since I'm guessing they don't want a civil war just yet.

@BohemianBabe The Governors in the Blue states are drawing the battle lines—get your popcorn ready!

@KunsanVeteran I guess better late than never. Though it would be nice if the next time the Republicans attempt a fascist takeover, the Democrats do more than complain about how this is illegal.

While this action by TX Democrats will delay things, Abbott will simply call for another special session after this current one expires.
KunsanVeteran · M
@JSul3 More than likely.
But it’s vitally important that Democrats continue to fight these illegal abuses and publicize their efforts to the widest audience possible.
Never give in to tyranny.

@KunsanVeteran If the Democrats can, they need to stay away when Abbott calls for the second special session.
