Measles cases rise in El Paso, most unvaccinated

Station KVIA reports:

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso has reported 43 cases of measles, with most linked to unvaccinated individuals, according to the city’s measles dashboard.

Over half of the reported cases are women, and 27 involve adults aged 18 and older, with two hospitalized.

Around a dozen cases involve children aged four and under.

Dr. Armando Meza, an infectious disease specialist at Texas Tech El Paso, emphasizes the importance of vaccination, noting measles is highly contagious and preventable.

Free measles vaccines are available at all City of El Paso community clinics.

My commentary:

Good on station KVIA! Attached to this article was a list of all El Paso community clinics, their addresses & contact numbers, and their hours of operation!

I previously reported that measles cases are being seen in Dallas-Fort Worth and East Texas as well as other states. RFK Jr continues to falsely claim that cases are declining. He also continues to push Vitamin A therapy (i.e. Cod liver oil). Again, vitamin A deficiency is very uncommon in America while Kennedy’s pushing of Cod liver oil has no real benefits and has resulted in hospitalization of children due to hypervitaminosis A (i.e. vitamin A toxicity)—which can have very serious health consequences including liver failure, seizures, swelling of the brain, coma, and even death.

Again I am calling for firing Kennedy and replacing him with a qualified health professional. Also, why aren’t we seeing more of a response from the Abbott administration?

There really is no reason this health crisis should have reached this level and it’s still expanding.
