I lived there decades ago. I loved it there. Friendly people. Nice winters. Did trauma nursing in downtown Dallas. Many people now say it is rotten. I would live there again if circumstances were favorable for me. I do not know you. It was a more relaxed way of life.

It use to be but it’s very expensive. Worse driving in America. It’s gone from being rural to warehouses everywhere.

lived in austin for 6 years. it's affordable and folks are generally nice if you keep to yourself. you'll need a reliable car b/c public transit is a joke and everything is dispersed far and wide. summer heat is excruciating. i said folks are generally nice but they really don't like outsiders and take a long time to warm up to you. there's worse places to live, like st. louis
