Pray for Texas

Please pray for the state of Texas. For the families whose precious children were murdered. For the families of the 2 teachers. For the first responders. For the kids whose lives will remain forever changed. For the medical personnel that are treating more innocent victims of this heinous crime that was commited by a punk. An evil POS that posted on Instagram a couple of hours before "kids be scared."
Now it's your turn to be scared Salvador Ramos. You paved your way to Hell. May your journey be swift.

[c=BF0080]There are so many sick b*stards out there. I hate this. I wish they’d train teachers to use a gun and have a finger print thing so it’d be safe there and ready for an emergency. [/c]

@MellyMel22 its so sad. My heart is just broken today. Where i live some of the schools do have armed teachers . My daughter attends one of these schools.
TexChik · F
@MellyMel22 That is exactly what needs to happen.

Teachers should be offered a higher pay scale to volunteer for the training. The schools need to be modified to provide extra protection to students and staff and to isolate the shooter . Their training, weapon, qualification, and ammo should be provided by each state . They should also be held harmless by legislative acts if they are forced to respond with deadly force.

If a shooter knows schools are kill boxes just waiting for them to step inside , they will stop attacking schools .

@SW-User [c=BF0080]I know.. I’ve been worried about my kids since my oldest started school in I believe 2004. They’ve closed my kids schools multiple days this year from threats. A couple of months ago my kid’s high school sent auto calls and texts saying they were locked down that no one could go there that there was a violence threat. The kid somehow changed the wifi name to something like shootout starts soon 😒 He and another kid were eventually arrested though.

@TexChik [c=BF0080]Yessss![/c] [c=BF0080]This is what I don’t understand, why wouldn’t they want to be prepared? [/c]

@MellyMel22 oh that is horrible. I would be so nervous if Alliyana attended a school like that. I pray your kids will be safe.

@MellyMel22 it all boils down to politics. A common sense move like that would be highly effective and then remove the issue from the left’s arsenal . And , unfortunately, education is where the bulk of democrats find employment. They are very political and would not act against their party’s agenda.

There are schools that do do all of that here . I know several are having drills today and a moment of silence. Schools here in my area finished last week .

@TexChik our last day is the 27th
TexChik · F
@SW-User I’m sure security all over the country is high. Thankfully my kids home school.
MellyMel22 · F
@SW-User [c=BF0080]Honestly though, they seem to be good with these threats. State police tend to go there throughout the day letting their presence be known at all the schools. [/c]
MellyMel22 · F
@TexChik [c=BF0080] Given all that goes on these days, they should be forced to and if they don’t want to then they should look for other work. I know that sounds messed up but, the kids need to be protected best they can. I would still think it’s worth it if my kids were all out of school too. These psychopaths are all easily killing children and others and that’s why they keep doing it. [/c]
TexChik · F
@MellyMel22 common sense approaches are always ignored when a political agenda is being implemented.

I agree. I think our children’s education should be privatized , and the school taxes collected should be vouchered to private schools if that is where the parent prefers to send their kids . There is much better security, better discipline, better education, and much higher testing scores from private students .
MellyMel22 · F
@TexChik [c=BF0080]School taxes here are insane. They should be able to cover that here at least. [/c]
TexChik · F
@MellyMel22 the problem is all the corrupt politicians that into that fund, they would squeal if you turned off their money spigot.
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@MellyMel22 The very fact that the solution of arming teachers is entertained is a sad and alarming state of affairs in the USA.
LookingForTheSummer · 31-35, M
@MellyMel22 So your solution is more guns? Damn, some of you Americans are indeed very dumb.
MellyMel22 · F
@LookingForTheSummer [c=BF0080]You sound like an incompetent loser. [/c]
MellyMel22 · F
@JimboSaturn [c=BF0080]It is, but it’s worse to allow psychotic people to shoot up children. Maybe once they’re aware they’re armed, they’ll think twice. I don’t like guns, but you know what? I rather a bullet be in the murderer’s head than countless innocent children. To ME, children deserve that protection at times like this and I’m entitled to my opinion and I’m not attacking anyone for their beliefs. [/c]
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@MellyMel22 You know how crazy that sounds to non-Americans that the answer would be that teachers would need to be armed; it's sounds like futuristic dystopia like in Robocop or something. Teachers are educators not law enforcement, this is so fucked up on so many different levels.

I agree that children need protection for sure, but the answer would try to change a society that mass murder in elementary schools is a normal part of its culture. This starts with some form of increased gun-control and a major shift in glamourizing gun violence.
MellyMel22 · F
@JimboSaturn [c=BF0080]You’re NOT American, that says it all. And that’s your opinion that I don’t agree with, but I won’t bother stooping to your level and attacking you. Is that what you do, look for someone to argue with because you don’t agree with their opinion? I didn’t bother looking at other peoples comments because everyone’s opinion is their opinion and even if I did see something that I didn’t like I’m not gonna sit here and argue with them because I don’t agree with their opinion. Grow up and worry about your own country. [/c]
Montanaman · M
@LookingForTheSummer but what other choice do we have at this point? You can't get rid of the millions and millions of guns in America. What is the solution?
MellyMel22 · F
@Montanaman [c=BF0080]Im pretty sure all teachers(but preschool) require a masters degree. Surely they aren’t stupid enough to use it the wrong ways. [/c]

@JimboSaturn @LookingForTheSummer no some of you non Americans are dumb. You dont have a solution so until you do dont think you're so brilliant.
