actually 17 babies and 2 teachers died. The police officers were not seriously wounded. The only officer with the balls to go in there and stop the gun man was a border patrol swat officer that arrived 90 minutes after the shooter went into the school. He drove up on the scene and saw all the other police hiding behind their cars and opened his trunk and put on his tactical gear and went in alone and killed the shooter, unfortunately after everyone in that classroom was dead.

@NoGamesTolerated The head of the state police was nearly in tears he was so angry and heartbroken. He said LE should never wait outside when an active shooter incident is occurring in a press conference. The uvalde police completely bungled the situation and the school violated the security protocols by allowing construction while school was in session that left doors open and easy access to the kids. And the school's SRO (policeman) wasnt there in the school.
