Is it ever okay to stand in a parking spot in order to save it?

Saw a woman stand in a parking spot in order for her family member to get it... the problem was that there was an 80-year-old disabled woman trying to get that spot. She was there first, but this lady was standing there not moving. The family member parked they came inside and go "Oh my god that made my day..." 😯 🙄

Here is illegal to do that... Having said that, it's probably more illegal to physically move them out of the way... Plus a good way to getting shot!
