Sienna32 · 41-45, F
What a special gift and memories you both share now.
akindheart · 61-69, F
@Sienna32 even more special since we lost her mother 11 yrs ago and this was the first time i was allowed to spend time with her girls.
Sienna32 · 41-45, F
I am so sorry for your loss. I hope it’s the first of many happy times with the girls @akindheart

So glad you had a great time, and a wonderful thing for your granddaughter to do. I have lived in London for over 40 years. I would be interested to know how different you found London this time compared with your previous visits.
LedRobster · 61-69, M
Yeah, London is great! Went there in March 2017 and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Would return in a heartbeat!
akindheart · 61-69, F

Did you go to the Caninet War Rooms?
akindheart · 61-69, F
@ASouthernGentleman i didn't. wish i did...are you talking about Churchill? i have been there before but my granddaughter had not so i had to "redo" what i have already done. i will be going back again.
ASouthernGentleman · 31-35, M
I was yes. Extremely interesting. Did you see the plague in St Paul’s dedicated to the American fighter pilots who fought in The Battle of Britain and gave their lives so England could live? @akindheart
akindheart · 61-69, F
@ASouthernGentleman no...i better put that one on my list!

My kinda town....
akindheart · 61-69, F
@SW-User you are one of the largest seats of history. my 10th great uncle was one of Shakespeare's Kings Men. my whole family is from there! I have been 3 times and still not seen it all.
SW-User
@akindheart you could live here a lifetime and not see it all
akindheart · 61-69, F
@SW-User i know. i usually come for 4-6 days and focus on the castles..or museums and i still have not been in them all.
