Florida isn't this magical paradise everyone thinks

Sure the sky and the land is gorgeous, that is until just about every decent patch of woods being flattened by developers, in order to build more expensive communities. I live in Fort Myers which is run down, ugly and over congested trapped between the cape and i75
Traffic is doable I mean it isn't NYC , just yet but it's getting there. I75 is a nightmare of its own. I can't imagine why there's so much traffic between Naples and Fort Myers
Cray cray, maybe work who knows. I mean Disney world isn't down there it's up just shy of Orlando go that way 😂
Massive amounts of Northeasterlies have come here, is it the housing? Because I think it's through the roof. And we've got a rat problem. So I'm not certain why they choose South Fl. I guess there's fun things to do if you have a boat! 😁I found the most fun hobby for me here is looking for a way out
For me it's the heat and humidity I'd rather be in a dryer climate that isn't so hot like this here but that day will come.
So out of curiosity if anyone sees this from the NE, what make you choose Florida?

I really enjoyed Orlando but didn’t see anything else.

I can’t understand it on any level. I live in the Northeast and I wouldn’t move to Florida under any circumstances.

I am a Florida native. The Mouse killed it. And Florida has always been packed with "yankees" complaining about how awesome "up north" is.

Florida is best enjoyed through Carl Hiaasen's novels. I have no intention of ever returning.

The place always sounded awful to me.. And Dexter Morgan never ran out of villains..😷

I wouldn’t go to Florida unless sold into bondage and sent there.
