The Unbearable Heat

I have lived in Florida for 39 years. The heat doesn't bother me until now. It is 99 degrees today with a heat index of 114 so imagine working outside on the yard and the house.

We got an HOA notice that we need to keep our flower beds and yard up. yeah right. I am window washing and painting this weekend. they are lucky my yard looks as good as it does.

As someone who lives free and easy down the end of a long dirt road in the country, where a small border river is perfect for skinnydipping.....i cannot fathom living under an HOA whatever they think they are. Screw that.

If I wanna walk bollicky bare-ass around my property, have a large campfire and invite friends over......hell, host a damn pig-roast....no damn pasty white collective is going to tell me where and what to do.
I mean this with all sincerity, but buy a small plot of land and put your home on it. NO ONE has a right to tell you how to live. No one. That's not living.

@akindheart Well my friend, you have my deepest sympathies...and I get it. Your particular environment allows you a certain breadth, and you're doing your best to adapt to it. In a more perfect world, we would kick these buggers in to a gibbet, hoist them up a pole and leave them dangling over the entrance under a Jolly Roger flag.
But.....maybe it's just me.
