Gas Shortage in Florida
Top | Newest First | Oldest First
:( It's going to get worse. With the Biden war on fossil fuels, it will be harder and harder to find people willing to invest in building new refineries or in keeping the old ones in good repair. But that's not only the refineries but also the infrastructure needed to get the crude from the ground, to the refineries, from the refineries, etc.
BTW, notice that "global warming" has been replaced by "climate change"? Now it doesn't matter what the thermometer says; whatever mother nature throws at us can be blamed on fossil fuels.

Ya, not enough gas and of course they jack the prices up again.

Look for another shakedown in the travel and transportation industry. Smart US rail companies should be looking to merge with Canadian companies. Didn't Kansas City Southern already do that?
What distinguished the airlines that survived the 70s from those that didn't was whether they had long term fuel contracts or bought fuel on the spot market. US International airlines took a special beating, and especially the ones that competed against government owned airlines. Like who can possibly compete against Saudia?
Much of the travel/transportation industry is now deregulated. That means that they can change their services and prices at will

I live in Ontario, Canada so I know nothing about this. How critical is the gas situation now?

@akindheart That is terrible. I hear about the high cost of gas in the UK. Europe in general. And how necessary it is to be able to travel. Has it been this bad before?
akindheart · 61-69, F
@PoetryNEmotion no. First time

@akindheart This is really bad news then. Please keep me updated.
Thanks ron!

@TryingtoLava ron has nothing to do with it. Its the weather
@akindheart for sure quick Q thou so whyd he not return back from his book tour for 2 days after?
akindheart · 61-69, F
@TryingtoLava who knows? had nothing to do with what is going on down here. Right now he is fighting Disney. He is signing into law stricter lawsuit regulations. What Governor can run all over the country when he has a state to run. The book tour is to gauge if people will vote for him. He chose the last state for that reason alone.
