Every winter the population in Florida triples as people come south for the winter.

I was walking the grocery store yesterday. Of course they are packed with snowbirds. What shocked me was the Kleenex isle was almost empty. The rest of the store looked well stocked, but the Kleenex isle was wiped out.

You know that old folks need soft tissue. That skin gets thin.

@Stereoguy Good kleexex is important. I am blessed that I have a nice supply in the closet.

@Fungirlmmm I buy a case at a time at Sam’s Club. Not feeling like running around this winter looking for things in case there are shortages.

@Stereoguy I had enough of that running around looking for things during the quarantine. I went to Aldi to buy groceries bought one too many tissues and the cashier snatched up it and put it aside and said “over the limit”. I had forgotten but the way she said it I decided to go buy a 10-pack at Sams Club and stock up that way. Haven’t bought tissues from Aldi ever since.

@Stereoguy They don’t realize when they piss off a regular customer they will lose business from most of them. I haven’t stepped foot in Sprouts after the manager came up as I was finishing my shopping and ordered me to wear a mask. I told her the city mask order didn’t start until the next day. She said that corporate makes its own rules and they said everyone had to wear them that evening. I walked out and left over $100 worth of items in my basket for them to restock. What’s interesting is that I’ve driven past there on Saturdays even lately and their parking lot is only about half full if that much. I used to have to park way around to the far side on Saturdays and sometimes even weekdays because they were so full.

@Stereoguy I was reading comments on Gab and someone else said it happened to them and he wasn’t going to do business with them any more. I figure there were a lot. They still get business as they were always popular with the college group but I can see that their business has gone way down. Probably offended too many people. Right around this time I heard a family talking to someone and telling them they were going to start shopping somewhere without that mask ordinance so Moore was probably the closest place.
