I Hate Florida

Florida Is Boring!!!... I have relatives in Florida. Even as a toddler I knew that state as no good. The people are boring and unenthused, it's too hot to enjoy nature, which may I add, is dry, ugly, brown, and dying, and there's nothing enteresting there. Everywhere I go there's a Walmart, Beals, or K-mart, and endless amouts of gas stations. It's like being a goldfish forced to live in a plastic cup of water-you can only swim one way, and if you're lucky, swim in a tight circle! In the city I visit, it's hard to find people of my age group. There, it's mostly elderly folks, and I don't mind elderly people, but it's hard to find a friend there, is all I'm saying. Plus the bugs are huge and plentiful. Adds to why I can't enjoy the outdoors. The only thing that's interesting, no, half interesting is the beach. Good for morning walks but nothing happens there. No special events, no fun places to hang out at, not even downtown. When they do have an event, it's only for little kids. To think they have the nerve to post signs saying "No Loitering". If Florida would build fun places and hold events for ALL AGES, maybe it wouldn't be known as the State of the Living Dead(at least for me)! And it needs to stop placing events like concerts outside. Nobody wants to burn and fry under the merciless southern sun; we want shade and plenty of a/c before we suffer from heat stroke, please. Oh yeah! And the water tastes like swamp no matter how purified it is. I have to buy spring water every time I visit, and the food is bland and digusting!

The only thing I can do there is hole up in a house or hotel of cool air, surf the internet(there's nothing on television, why waste my time?). Every time I visit, even if it's only for a week, it feels long and painful. I'm a young adult now and still nothing has changed.

Its hard to make friends among the young crowd too. They are extremely aloof and non committal.

Yes, they are. Whenever I'm in Florida, I wonder how long it will take to make an actual friend, one that actually wants to spend time and interact with me.
