Chicago in September

Chicago is one of my favorite cities to visit in September.
We go there every other year.
The food is always amazing, and there are so many good places to walk and explore the cultures that are new to me.

Since my husband is from Chicago, he is always excited to take me to his favorite places to show me around.

When I saw information about Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures Museum in UChicago, I thought it would be interesting.
Although it's free to visit the museum, it was the best place to go because it took me more than three hours to explore.
Seeing Hammurabi's Code brought me back to my high school time, I was not able to remember this correct answer for world history exam.

The campus in UChicago is also an impressive sight.

I was in the middle of my Invisalign treatment while I was in Chicago, but I managed to enjoy the food including Red Apple authentic Polish buffet, Hot Pot in Chinatown and irresistible Giordano’s pizza.
Red Apple was the best for me.

Everything was excellent but it was great to see my husband’s happy face.

Great pics. I grew up close to that leaning tower. There was the Leaning Tower YMCA that I took swim lessons at as a kid that was there.

Wow, I'm not a city girl, but it looks like an interesting place to visit, especially the views from the ferris wheel. Thank you for sharing..

@moonlightlullaby Navy Pier was lively and has a beautiful view at night with fireworks.
If you visit there you’ll be amazed all the city has to offer.😊

Beautiful pictures! Lucky you, I always wanted to visit Chicago, but I live in the UK and it's not cheap. But I can always dream... one day...

I don't recognize some of those as being in Chicago, but nice photos.

Beautiful pics of Chicago. I had no idea they moved the Leaning Tower of Pisa to Chicago.
Eyeinthesky · 56-60, F
@Barefooter25 there are many good Italian restaurants around that area.

Beautiful pictures. Have you tried the Chicago deep dish pizza? If so who has the best and how do like it?
Eyeinthesky · 56-60, F
@Musicman we tried Giordano deep dish pizza- super veggie for me and meat & more meat for my husband several times over the years. We tried other deep dish pizza there but they weren’t good.
Musicman · 61-69, M
