I noticed you used a blue state to make your point. 😉

@DogMan I mean if elected representatives aren’t representing their constituents appropriately, what other recourse is there? The American Revolution is the always repeated example of American exceptionalism, without other examples, what is expected? Also peaceful protest takes a lot longer to be effective.
Therefore if the most repeated course material in k12 education is U.S. war history; especially the Revolution and ww2, what action is the citizen expected to partake? Obviously violence is the only productive action?
The issue is systemic.

@jehova K-12 needs to do better. Teach kids how to make money, save money, and spend money
efficiently. You don't need a college education to know that you don't go into lifelong debt just to have
a cool car. I know people that have had car loans continuously for decades. They buy the most expensive
car that they can on a 7-8 years loan. By the time its paid it off its not worth anything and they continue
the debt. I drove old cars till I was in my late 30's.
I have been paying cash for new cars, trucks and motorcycles ever since, and its not because I make a shit load of money. I did this on 70k per year. I also have 3 paid off homes.
I tell people to read Dave Ramseys books and follow his advice. My wife and I did.

@DogMan public school teaches those things how to budget how to cut expenses how to save. I’ve never bought a new car only ever waited for a relative to get rid of their old one. I don’t own a home have worked for 30 years since I was 7 I’ll continue to live within my means and eventually inherit my parents house. The family is very close and we share a vacation home among all of us. Everyone pitches in. I went to college at no cost. I had a brain tumor until 6 months ago so it’s a situation.
