California residents

Does anyone know if the dmv does any kind of payment plans?? I am struggling BIG TIME. Lost my job about 2 almost 3 months ago and have been struggling to get a job offer…interview after interview after interview…..no job. I have a few leads and others that I’m waiting to hear back from currently, but it’s crushing me. I’ve been doordashing to make rent and was able to make April but my dmv fees are almost the same amount if not more due to other factors and things….it’s the most disappointing and low I’ve been. I know the govt won’t care about my life story but I genuinely do not have that money right now. At least not all in full until I get a job….waiting to hear back and hopefully I get good news soon…but even then it takes time to get that first check. I am on the verge of giving up because I’m driving around to deliver food while risking getting pulled over. I’m damned if I do, damned if I don’t…..any help is appreciated. Not asking for money. Just asking for advice!!
