Ohio, Idaho, Iowa, Wyoming.

Who ever named these states, they're too similar and they confuse me
Those are Indian names. Don't do what they did to the secy Land O Lakes Indian girl and take them away:

They took her away, then Aunt Jemima:

Then Uncle Ben:

But they didn't touch Chef Boyardee:

Wendy's:

Or Ronald McDonald:

All cultural evidence of minorities have been eradicated by liberals, while the whites was left alone. Why? Whites like their mascots. I honestly don't think there were very many indians standing around crying everytime they saw a stick of butter. If anything it was good they were culturally represented.

So I am opposed to getting rid of native names. I don't want to hide that.

@Dignaga
oh no, I'm not suggesting they be changed, not at all.
I'm just being a bit silly here
MethDozer · M
@Dignaga Idaho isn't. It's entirely made up word with no linguistic root

Considering they are Native American names it would not make sense to you. They were taken and named as states from what the local Native Americans called the land area.
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
@WillaKissing a lot of states did that. I wanted to note the three syllable name with an I and O sound

Wyoming is better grouped with Montana and The Dakotas, maybe Idaho.

Ohio is very different. Industry, farming, and coal

Iowa is just farm.
DownTheStreet · 56-60, M
I’ll get that fixed, give me a couple of days
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
@DownTheStreet alright. I'll keep my eye on those maps
MethDozer · M
Idaho is entirely made up word. The person who came up with it claimed it to be a Shoshone word, but after it was noticed that no such word exist in that language. He admitted he just made it up.

@MethDozer interesting. I don't think I knew that
