Tell me about your town/city

Issaquah, Wa is nestled right at the base of the Cascade Mountains with mountain views, trails, retail shops, etc

Just down the steet from where I live you can watch the paragliders

Issaquah is about 17 miles from Seattle

We have a fish hatchery in the middle of town, every year the first week of October is Salmon Days when the salmon return to spawn

Issaquah is a recreational town with plenty of places to hike

We have a zoo here too

Costco's headquarters is here. I've walked around that lake many times

And Gilman Village, a cute area with gift shops and restaurants, etc. I frequently go to a Victorian tea room there, (Paisley Parlor)!

@Blondily absolutely....it's only a couple of hours away...you should come up when the sounders play here...not sure if you or hubby is a soccer fan.

@Blondily yes....probably another 40 minutes to downtown from where i'm at...but when me and my gang need to go downtown we take transit...we actually have a good system here

@beermeplease I wish we had a better transit system. If I want to take the bus to Seattle Id have to walk about 20 minutes to a bus stop. 😒

@Blondily i remember staying at a travel lodge in seattle in not so nice part of town...we took transit from there to a soccer game and then after that the mariners were playing the giants....we took a taxi back though...there were some scary looking people in that part 🤣
