Issaquah, Wa is nestled right at the base of the Cascade Mountains with mountain views, trails, retail shops, etc

Just down the steet from where I live you can watch the paragliders

Issaquah is about 17 miles from Seattle

We have a fish hatchery in the middle of town, every year the first week of October is Salmon Days when the salmon return to spawn

Issaquah is a recreational town with plenty of places to hike

We have a zoo here too

Costco's headquarters is here. I've walked around that lake many times

And Gilman Village, a cute area with gift shops and restaurants, etc. I frequently go to a Victorian tea room there, (Paisley Parlor)!

@Blondily I would definitely visit during the Fall. The foliage is nice. Unless you are into skiing then you'll love winter. The moose are beautiful as long as you keep your distance.

We have moose here but they are rarely seen. Amazing and fascinating animals.
