Issaquah, Wa is nestled right at the base of the Cascade Mountains with mountain views, trails, retail shops, etc

Just down the steet from where I live you can watch the paragliders

Issaquah is about 17 miles from Seattle

We have a fish hatchery in the middle of town, every year the first week of October is Salmon Days when the salmon return to spawn

Issaquah is a recreational town with plenty of places to hike

We have a zoo here too

Costco's headquarters is here. I've walked around that lake many times

And Gilman Village, a cute area with gift shops and restaurants, etc. I frequently go to a Victorian tea room there, (Paisley Parlor)!

My town Athlone is located in the Midlands of Ireland, , the river shannon runs through it and divides the town in two , it also divides the provinces of connaught and leinster

We have a castle that sits on the banks of the river that was firsr built in the early 1200s for king john of England altho it has been restored and modified many tines since

Atlone is also home to Irelands oldest pub Seans bar and it also claims to be the oldest in the world.

@Celt50 What an incrediably beautiful castle and cool bar. Really interesting. I wouldn't mind going to that pub, seeing the castle and exploring Ireland. I hope I can visit there some day. I've always been fascinated by it.😊
