Interesting, but I'm not sure exactly what this video "proves". It's not clear what the source for data is, or how much weight is given to each factor.
There are at least 20 different reports online that rate US cities & states from "best to worst" or for "livability" or how "family friendly", or whatever. Depending on the methodology they all deliver different results.
Here's one example -
As far as the political stuff, I'll never be a fan of extremists on either side. In my experience what partisan politics contributes to real quality of life for anybody is close to zero.

@GuiltyBiStander One of the statements made is how the state education system is so bad, when in fact when I graduated in 1989 Oregon was among the top ten best states for education.
