Why do so many New Yorkers dislike New Jersey so much?

Poll - Total Votes: 16
Most New Yorkers just don't know New Jersey very much
New Jersey's different road systen confuses New Yorkers
Their cops are raaaaaayyyyycist and pull you over for anything!
New Yorkers have snooty and superior attitudes
New Jersey guys are heavy into their cars, many smug New Yorkers have drivers to drive for them
New Yorkers envy New Jersey because of their roomy homes, lawns & pools - not tiny apartments
NYers don't know about NJ except what they see across the river (chemical plants, refineries, etc.)
Because New Yorkers tend to think of NYC as a world unto itself and everything else is foreign
It's just plain fun for New Yorkers to irritate people from New Jersey

You hear them make jokes about New Jersey and some even hate the place. What is it about their neighbor next door that they dislike so much? I just don't get it.🤷🏻

Fucked up roads and no u-turns are annoying (you have to go through a jughandle and wait for an interminable light).

You can't pump your own gas and never any bathrooms there

@SW-User You can't pump your own gas but the prices are usually lower anyway.
SW-User
@graphite not anymore. That used to be the only low taxed product in the state. So, of course, they taxed it to NY levels. 👎

Sorry, consider me dumbass but what in this world is a 'jughandle' road? Is that some sort of u-turn? Wanna hear it from you.

@SW-User jug handles are a bit of a pain in the ass but much safer than sitting in the middle of a roadway waiting to make a left.
SW-User
@PatKirby you have to make a right turn off the road and straighten out in a loop. You curve and straighten out like a jughandle. Then you have to wait for a new light

@SW-User I prefer the jughandles, they are safer. And why would I want to get out of my car in the rain or cold to pump gas? And there are plenty of bathrooms, unlike NYC.
SW-User
@AbbeyRhode not at gas stations. At least in the sticks.

I hardly dislike NJ (except for the governor), just pointing out some of their quirks

@SW-User You never want to use a gas station restroom. 🤮
But we have Mcd's, Dunkin, Wawa, Quick Chek, etc. everywhere, and they all have restrooms.

Ugh, I can't stand him, either.

@AbbeyRhode guys are fortunate in that we don't have to touch anything when going #1. You just endure and get out 😋

@PatKirby They have good coffee, and their bakery stuff is great. :)

@SW-User The governor is an progressive liberal idiot who pushes harmful legislation
SW-User
@Bill1372 I know the governor too well. He grew up about 10-11 houses from me. I never have met him as he is older. But NJ had a liberal limo boutique governor before Christie. Then, idiotically, brought another right back in
