Do people tend to be more politically charged in the city?

I mean... I'm not saying that country folk don't have their political opinions, but I dunno... It just seems like the tensions are a lot more hardcore in the city
Interesting... Now I think about it, you may have a point.
@Fishy true, that may also play a role.

@NerdyPotato @Fishy In my opinion, city people care less about what other people think of them. Which makes them a be bit more blunt. Considering that more people live there, it's easier to get into arguments, because you meet more people that you don't always form a personal conection with. There is no reason to be timid when you are having discussions with people that you might never meet again.

While in rural areas, everyone often knows everyone else. And people tend not to stick their head above the grass, avoiding conflict. Because the person you are going to have a conflict with, is someone that you'll be meeting regularly. Keeping politics often under the surface. But they are still there. And sometimes play out in sneaky ways.

At the end of the day though... I think both sides are still political. The moment that rural areas get triggered, they'll just go all tribal and start protesting and screaming just as much as other people do. Don't forget that political stuff only emerges when someone feels the need to adress it. I don't think that, if there is a diffrence, that the diffrence is that big between them.

@Kwek00 Yeah that's true,

I always feel like I'm walking on eggshells when I'm in the city tbh

even if I'm just walking along and minding my own business 😅

More media coverage in the city, too.
