1 corinthians 11-16

I'm really interested in this verse because different people have different convictions. I have personally worn a head covering in the past and I struggled with this due to being a migraine sufferer. I now read it that the hair itself is a covering. I am also pondering on the part where hair cutting is mentioned. I am in the process of deciding whether I should have uncut hair. I'm really interested in other christians opinions on this verse and about your own convictions.

Yes the passage is stating that a woman has long hair as a head covering.. The passage was actually speaking against the need for cloth head coverings..

(1 Corinthians 11:13-16) "Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered? {14} Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? {15} [c=4C0073]But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering[/c]. {16} But if any man seem to be contentious,[c=4C0073] we have no such custom, neither the churches of God[/c]."

What is the custom Paul is speaking of here? He is speaking of the custom of woman wearing cloth head coverings..

@Adstar verse 6 proved you wrong. no cloth, cut hair.

@strait46 The scriptures are clear that God gave woman long hair as a covering..
1 corrinthians 11:
{15}[c=4C0073] But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering[/c].

Who gave woman long hair for a covering? God of course.. So if long hair is a covering then a woman with long hair is already covered and thus needs no other covering..

@Adstar scriptures are clear
1 corrinthians 11: 6, but you can "pick and choose" from your bible like most hypocrites.

@strait46 Nope.. Not picking and choosing.. But rightly reading and interpreting the Word of God..
