As I was meditating just the other day, the thought came to me: our tests and trials, our disappointments and even our failures, come to keep us humble, not to defeat us.
@daydeeo

Yes, that is lovely, and true! Thank you for that. 🙏
However, in my post I was making a different distinction. Same subject, different side. 👍

There’s a difference between saying God sends spiritual warfare to humble us, and saying God can use what the enemy intends for harm to strengthen our faith. Those aren’t the same thing.

The distinction I was making is this: the enemy’s purpose is to discourage, weaken, deceive, and destroy. That’s spiritual warfare.
But God uses those attacks to grow our faith and teach us to depend on Him.

I don’t find scripture that says God sends the enemy against us daily to keep us humble. I think that waters down what God is actually developing in us through intense spiritual battles.

But God can, and does, work through the battles to strengthen our faith. They develop perseverance, spiritual maturity, discernment, and a deeper walk with the Lord.

@GodsJoyfulGrace I don't say necessarily that God sends us problems. The enemy and our own flesh makes sure there are enough of those. I guess I'm encouraging us to use those things to strengthen ourselves and not to let them get us down.
@daydeeo Absolutely, brother!!! I knew what you meant. I just wanted to make things clear as they could be for our readers. What you said was absolutely perfect. I was just looking at it in an even different light. There were two ways to look at it and we're both right. You know your Bible! Amen! I thank you for your wonderful contribution. That's why it's important for us all to write on here. Sometimes we forget things and can be wonderfully reminded as you have done in this forum. That was a great reminder to us all. Thank you so much. And God bless! I love how you're meditating and really really soaking in the word and studying it. Not just flipping pages or reading a verse just to be reading it and then say you've read your Bible. Hahaha one may have read their bible, but without really digging into it and studying the word so the Holy Spirit can speak to us, it's like making chili but leaving out half the ingredients. It's not really chilly, until you add it all in so you can get the full flavor, and give your best. hahaha good job, brother! That's what Jesus wants us to do. Not just read the word but study it so we can get the full spiritual flavor...understanding, of what God's trying to teach us, so we can apply it to our lives and boy is that rewarding!

Amen sis. The storm will always keeps us stronger.
@FreestyleArt I'll talk with you about that later.
@FreestyleArt Buddy, you are on 🔥 for the Lord! 😂 I love that you brought this subject up! Let's have a little bible study brother hahaha I know you love to study your Bible as much as I do. Here's something I'd like to share with you, that God taught me through His word:

There’s a difference between saying God uses evil in spiritual warfare to come against us, and saying God can use what the enemy intends for harm, to strengthen our faith.

Luke 9:56 + John 10:10 together, really says it all. And that's why we turn to God and the Holy Spirit for clarity and instruction. They make it very clear:

John 3:17 "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him."
Plain English: God didn’t come to condemn you. He came to save you.

John 10:10 "The thief comes to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life."
Plain English: The devil comes to destroy you. Jesus came to give you life.

The devil destroys. God saves. God is not in cahoots with the one who destroys.❤

But God can, and does, help us work through the battles to strengthen our faith. They develop perseverance, spiritual maturity, discernment, and a deeper walk with the Lord.

Now, about Job... what we talked about above can also be applied to Job, but just a little bit different and it's important to note the difference.

I love that you brought up Job ❤ God's Word taught me this, through the HolySpirit: God can use what happens to strengthen us.

There’s a big difference between saying God sends Satan to attack us, and saying God can use what the enemy intends for harm, to strengthen our faith. Those aren’t the same thing.

In Job, God did not partner with Satan. He doesn't partner with evil. Period.
Satan’s purpose was to discourage, weaken, deceive, and destroy Job. That’s who the enemy is.
God’s purpose was to show Job’s faithfulness. Job’s faith was real, and everything was restored to him, 10 fold.

God is not in cahoots with the devil. The Bible says Satan is God's ENEMY. He doesn't partner with evil to accomplish His will. He’s sovereign over him. God handles His own affairs. Big difference. 🙏♥

I'm talking about everyone who loves God and is reading their bible.....we must all be careful what sources we use for study, besides the Bible. That also includes false teachers and can even include new followers who are not yet equipped to teach, until they have studied and God has approved their efforts to mentor others. God takes that very seriously, as we are responsible to God, for what we teach others. This is why ministers go and prepare themselves in seminar for years, before they even think about mentoring others.

I don’t find scripture that says God sends Satan against us daily to humble or to hurt us. I think that waters down what God is actually developing in us through battles.

But God can and does help us work through our battles, to strengthen our faith. They develop perseverance, spiritual maturity, discernment, and a deeper walk with the Lord.

I sure enjoyed sharing this with you and us looking at it together. God's word is so much fun to study and so exciting. It's always fresh and new no matter how many times we read it and I'm so proud of you for studying your Bible! You are good and faithful to God and he sees that. That does not go unnoticed. You're always seeking the truth and that's very commendable, as well as rewarding.

Psalm 19:10 and 11 say this:
God's word is worth more than "much fine gold", representing lasting spiritual wealth compared to temporary physical treasures.

It brings delight and wise guidance - sweetness to the soul, offers wise council, and we reap great blessings for faithfulness. But don't get confused...don't take that verse to mean, we earn our salvation. That is not possible. God's word says our Salvation is only the result of God's grace and mercy, as we come to him by faith.

I love how you seek the truth from God. I'm so proud of you I could bust! Love you brother. You're on 🔥 for the Lord, and I'm celebrating!!! Keep on keepin' on, brother. 🙏🙏🔥🎊💖👋♥😃
@FreestyleArt I found in my life and study that God doesn't need anybody's help in order to accomplish anything. Certainly not in cahoots and partnership with satan. They are enemies.

When I see the worlds it's like it's all of me! It's like are all one and everyone can see all of my dreams and desires and experiences for all to see... And sometimes yes it is what I truly desired in this world, but God is greater than any worldly treasures! The only thing I can think of is to store my treasures in Heaven, my loved ones in the worlds...And yet be called up out of the worlds or be in the worlds but not of it? Worshipping God the Father first and foremose, desireing to please Him, By faith in His Son! Having the lights of the worlds happens quite often here where I live especially when it comes to all of the Healthcare workers from Doctors to Everyone in between, to people who work at the gas station!! But my problem is that I am also being discredited by false prophets who make me sound evil and I lose a lot of loved ones because they just won't quit until I'm lonely! But God Has my heart no one can take that away from me!
@saintsong All I can say sister is that if evil is trying to come against you from different people, then those are toxic people and you don't need them in your life. And don't forget. You are living for the Lord the best way you know how and I've actually never seen you Stray From The Lord. And those who know you and who you are, wouldn't dare accuse you of being evil. What I'm trying to say is don't worry what other people think because those of us who know you is what I was trying to get at, those of us who know you, don't believe the evil gossip that some may try to put against you. People who know you will know exactly that the enemy is coming against you they don't believe what the enemy says. They see your life and they know already that Satan cannot accuse you. So don't worry about other people. They're going to think what they think anyway and if they're toxic like that to talk evil against someone, we don't need those kind of people in our life anyway. Your testimony is super and is your testimony that upholds your character without question. The enemies tactics just won't work against you. Everybody sees you and knows who you are and that you're not an evil person or anything else bad. So you just keep your peace sister and go on about your business and walk with the Lord. Those ugly rumors will die down and fade away cuz they have nothing to stand on.
