THE ENEMY THOUGHT HE WOULD DESTROY ME - BUT GOD USED IT TO DEVELOP ME
"You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." Isaiah 26:3
Real peace isn't the absence of storms. It's the presence of Jesus in the middle of them.
Real peace isn't pretending nothing happened. It's merely observing the situation... then choosing to stay in the presence of the Holy Spirit's peace, anyway.
My heart has rejoiced all day, as I remembered His words:
"Observe the interruption. But you're detached from that. You are Mine. You are not of this world."
That's what God calls Walking in the Spirit.
Observe it
The Holy Spirit never tells us to be blind.
See the report. See the attack. See the fear trying to creep in.
Jesus never said, "Don't look." He said, "Be aware, but no need to be afraid. I'm here, just as I have always been. What you're seeing, is not even a part of you.
Detach From It
Detachment isn't coldness. It's wisdom and peace.
It's saying: "I see this, Lord. But this doesn't get to live in me."
It's letting the storm rage outside while your heart stays quiet inside. Because you are not of this world. You're a citizen of Heaven walking on earth. What happens in this world, doesn't get to dictate what happens in your own spirit.
Run to Him, and Be Held
This is the best part.
You don't detach and then float alone.
You detach... then rest in His lap, as He holds you with His loving, waiting arms. Just think...resting with the God of the whole universe, wrapping His arms around you, and saying, "I've got this, don't you worry. You just rest in Me."
That's what God's perfect peace looks like.
That sweet peace that passes all understanding from the Holy Spirit.
Not half a spiritual tank. A full tank.
Not panic. Just Presence.
Not striving. But Surrender.
Prayer:
Jesus, I thank you for the victory. I thank you for teaching me to walk like this today, and every day. When hard things come, thank You for helping me observe, without absorbing. Thank you so much God for helping me detach from fear and attach to you. Thank you God, for the victory won, when I trust in you. For there is no fear in perfect love, and Your love is just perfect for me.
I am truly Yours. And You are truly mine. This is what true love looks like. God keeping you in perfect peace, as you keep your mind stayed on Him. Amen!
What is one thing you need to "observe, but detach from" today? And where else can you run, but toJesus' lap, and let Him hold you?
