I don't want to forget the reason for the season.
I remember driving down a big interstate one time, and I saw the second hugest cross I've ever seen, in silver, near Effingham, Illinois. It gave me such a warm, wonderful, beautiful feeling in my spirit, as it reminded me of Jesus and what he did for me on the cross. I was thankful for seeing that cross on the highway, thinking that it might just warm someone's heart to think about accepting Jesus as their Savior, and also to drive safely. I also thought it might bring to remembrance things in their lives that may need changing and help them realize that there is hope in Jesus. Maybe it will cause someone to think about their mortality and where they shall spend eternity. It's like a visual gospel tract. It can serve many purposes, and whatever reminds us of Jesus in this world of turmoil, I think is a good thing.
Christmas centers on the birth of Jesus Christ, God's love, and salvation, urging a shift from commercialism and busy activities to spiritual reflection, gratitude, and sharing that love with others through acts of kindness and service. It's about pausing to focus on faith, hope, and God's grace, rather than just gifts, parties, and holiday stress.
